Daisies
Daisy Scouts will have the
opportunity to learn about their local history through hands-on
activities and crafts. Daisies will do an Alphabet Hike
exploration of the current exhibit, learn about Native Americans
and pioneer girls, and play a game to discover the function of
museum artifacts.
Brownie Scout Saturday Program
Brownie Scouts will complete
their Listening to the Past Try-It! as they learn about the
history of Washington County through pictures, games, hands-on
activities, and stories. Brownies will learn to play Native
American games and act out stories from the past. They will also
learn about historic buildings in the community that still stand
and the stories behind them!
Junior Scout Saturday Program
Junior Girl Scouts will earn
their Local Lore Badge. They will study through hands-on
activities, crafts, and amusing stories what life was like for
the first inhabitants of the Tualatin Valley and early settlers.
The program includes discovering hidden secrets and stories of
our diverse community, comparing, and contrasting how the area
has changed using maps, photographs, and historic documents, and
participating in museum projects to help preserve local history.
